As a global pandemic has disrupted supply chains and the business of many companies that had previously outsourced the production of many of their goods, domestic manufacturers such as CustomFab USA have found their services in greater demand than ever before.

The overseas trade magazine Textile & Apparel Newspaper recently reported on the issue:

“If there is one thing the pandemic taught the world, it was that we are over-reliant on China for everything from the key ingredients used to make cleaning agents to pharmaceuticals, surgical masks to personal protection equipment,” the magazine reports. “That's not diversification of risks. And small business owners get it.”

With many US companies sourcing products from China before the pandemic, a recent study by Australian money exchange company OFX, has revealed that now 61% of those companies are looking for a domestic partner to make their goods, with more than half of small businesses claiming the pandemic hurt their supply chains.

Being heralded as part of the solution to bring manufacturing and production back to America, Textile & Apparel Newspaper recently wrote a feature on CustomFab USA, highlighting how it’s remained competitive in a global economy.
