Pop quiz, hotshot:

What trade show has more ammo than business cards, a baby tiger, and Chuck Norris?

Laser Cutting

The 2020 Shot Show, that’s what, and this year’s exhibition was bigger and badder than ever.

Chuck Norris

No exaggeration, there were so many booths and amazing companies displaying the latest tactical gear and technology at this year’s trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada that even with a week’s worth of time to explore the event, we weren’t able to see it all.

Just about all of the big industry heavy hitters had stunning booths on display, with the likes of Sig Sauer wowing spectators with its manicured design, and Glock impressing Chuck Norris fans with the karate legend himself doing his best not to crush everyone’s bones to a find powder as he politely shook hands.

As a contract sewing manufacturer, we love getting inspiration from all the new developments out there as well as taking the time to speak with tactical gear movers and shakers about upcoming projects and manufacturing needs.

Awesome Fabric

One of our favorite new materials of the year had to be Honeywell’s Spectra Centurion Laminate Fabric, which can lighten tactical gear and MOLLE by 35-40%, thanks to a high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber that is 15 times stronger than steel. CustomFab USA’s laser cutting abilities are the perfect way to reduce manufacturing costs when creating products with the new material, especially since it’s designed to be cut-and-abrasion-resistant.

Best In Show

The award for best moments at this year’s event, however, goes to Beyond Clothing and Mystery Ranch's “Beyond Shot” after-party, featuring a pool party performance with Naughty by Nature and a juvenile tiger. The after-party was almost as epic as both companies. Beyond Clothing is crafted to take on the harshest conditions, while Mystery Ranch is renowned for its tactical packs made with top-shelf materials at our 77,000 square foot California manufacturing facility.
